What! Mac wants something else!

Yep, fraid so.

1. The plug in connector blocks for the instrument cluster (Smiths or VDO) use sprung terminals that are specific and, of course NLA. Does anyone know of a source, have the relevant bit of loom lying around, or are breaking a 300.

2. Late, narrow, black, front screen trim side joint cover.

Every other connector on the car (that isn't the econoseal/weatherseal/whatever the Renix/Crank sensor ones that need to be waterproof) is AMP Mac, who have been taken over by Tyco. I got a load of pins for the fusebox connectors from... Farnell I think and recently a load of weatherseals from Mouser, I'd check the Tyco pins catalog and google OEM part numbers if you find one thats dimensionally correct.

Thanks guys, Chris - think I've found the correct series in the Tyco cat. Just have to check sizes now. (simple when you know).

Ps - I MAY have a line on a number of CISAC Z10 modified insulation bases (with the rubber shim gasket) got one on it's way and will report if it all works out.

for what wires? at Terberg we have those by the 1000's but only the 1,5² model, it would be nice if i have a small stock of the 2,5² and 4² ones too

For the weather proof ones I have something like 4 sizes, but should certainly have >1.5 and 1.5-2.5s.

Want me to have a look when I get home chap? Memory says my fusebox ones are the round ones only left, 1.5-2.5s but again I can check.

i'm probably no longer using them myself but every technical day there's electrical problems coming up and having good replacement connectors ready to use is becoming more and more a must have

I'll pm you my email, maybe including Mac as well if he is looking at buying some of the dash ones. This sounds like something we might want to think about in purchasing this stuff as you can't buy them in small quantities, maybe holding a UK and Holland stock or something.

It's at a low enough financial level and high enough need (most 300's I've seen have that fusebox connector issue somewhere in the plug) I might see if the VOC are interested in a mini funding thing.

Wouldn't hurt to generate a reference list (with pics) of all the terminals and connectors used with a note of where they can be obtained. Don't know what the need would be but if one wishes to do things correctly !
