How bad a job is this to do? I'm thinking of having a crack at it myself. I've also spotted this kit on the net:

Any good?

Cheers, Dave

You don't need all that palava a good set of sockets will do fine. The only difficult thing is getting off the crank pulley because the bolt is very very tight. The proper way to do it is to buy the Volvo special tool, but I got away with taking the Renix sensor off the bellhousing and jamming a bolt in the holey. Others might have a safer idea, but I don't think the Volvo tool is too expensive, especially if you factor in the cost of getting your friendly ham-fisted mechanic to do it.

If you get the covers off and line up the engine properly first its a doddle.

Oh and getting the radiator shroud off is a pig as well.

There is bolt on block and when bolt is removed you can fit small metal bar there, does same thing ;)
