I have got an offer for a 360 GLE from 1984.
It is the 1954ccm motor with injection. Are there any problems with the machine or the gear box?

Not really,fairly bomb proof.Check that the clutch is ok as its quite a job to do.Other than that just check for rust an the usual stuff that goes with buying an old(ish) car.

1954cc is a bit odd, should by 1986cc (B19E or B200E for injection engine). Engines + Gearboxes are lengendary reliability, best in the world maybe (sharing with 240/700/940). Any problems you find are usually worth fixing, unless you can't get the parts. Do check for oil sludge build up by opening the oil filler, if there is alot it means the engine has not had enough oil changes (eg in 20,000 miles) the enginee will need to be stripped and cleaned, otherwise should be ok.

If the car has drive then you don't have anything major to worry about I think, but you might need to do HG, or sort out mountings maybe.
