Very helpful.
Why do I bother to try to help people?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Car-Manuals-L ... +volvo+360

There are a couple of brochures there but not for the GLT although that 1984 a vintage year one looks interesting.

Thanks,
I've had all the 84 stuff off the bay. It's the drivers handbook, and a sample service record I really need.

So no need for the spurious second request? A "Bump" might of dragged it up the charts?

Now I presume the Dutch one has the same cover as what you are looking for? Also does the 340/360 handbook cover the GLT or is there a 24-carat leather-bound tome especially for the the GLT?

Have you even bothered asking the person(s) :D who might be able to help you directly?

I suddenly feel I have entered a parallel universe.

I am trying to find a UK version of a 1984 340/360 handbook and any other "driver/service" pack documentation.

I have plainly failed even to ask the person(s) who can help me directly - doh! How remiss of me, but I sort of suspect that had I known of any such person(s) I might just have thought of trying them.

My ignorance is complete - I am indeed a worm!.

You are indeed a worm.....with ever changing requirements!

First you just want a 1984 360GLT Driver's Handbook!!
Then not content with zero response, demand a whole library of 1984 documentation!!!
Then it transpires just want a 1984 340/360 Driver's Handbook and any other bits or bobs that would be found in the folder!!!!

On a more serious note.

Cynical old me wonders why more than just a Driver's Handbook is required? Most service books will have been stamped already (which I don't really see the point in). If the original has gone, then it's gone. Gathering these specific items up might be an attempt to put together a Jackanory file. Not that anyone round here would dream of doing such a thing....

Or of course it maybe something to do with the fact that Mac has just aided in the sale of a 1984 360GLT and the new owner has asked him if he knows where to get hold of a handbook for it as it's missing from the file of paperwork that came with the car. He may also have asked if there's any other 1984 360GLT related sheets/files/brochures/pamphlets missing.

This is only a guess, but it seems logical given the recent posting from Mac about how the red/orange 1984 360GLT that we all knew about has gone to a new home.

Spot on Roo - of course.

In reply to over suspicious bog dwelling Scots - as it is extremely unlikely that a service record book would be totally full (and an OE blank is unlikely) Kenney was hoping to utilise the cover of a used book together with any unused pages to start to rebuild the service history.
Filled in pages relating to different vehicles would be destroyed - believe it or not - I really don't care.

Nobody is attempting a "Jackanory" record - a genuine enthusiast is attempting to assemble a set of original documentation and I, having brokered the sale, am attempting to help.

Yes, I am quite aware of the car Mac and your willingness to be ever helpful.

I wasn't suggesting the present owner was up to no good, but someone down the line could be, given the opportunity. You know the adverts with words like "timewarp" in them and telephone number prices.

That's Jackanory to me. Why/how/what - "rebuild" the service history? If the record has been lost, then it's gone. I still don't get it as whilst it won't be fully stamped, the blank pages will have the high mileage numbers on it??

Anyway, as you were.

Nobody is suggesting "creating" a service history but the car has less than 30.000mls. and Kenney intends to continue regular servicing - are you really suggesting he should be denied the use of a Volvo service record book simply because the one originally with the car has been lost?

Oh! everybody, just forget it - I really can't be arsed to justify why I asked for what I did.

Request withdrawn.

Just say what you mean and use the correct words Mac

If you meant he was continuing a service record from hereon in. Why say "rebuild"?

Engage brain and select the appropriate words. Saves misunderstanding.

Btw do you want some old tax disc and MOT certs? sm100

^^^^THAT IS A JOKE BTW.
