hi im after a 360 2.0ltr rear half shaft or drive shaft depending what you call it. mine has broke so could really need one

Mine broke only a couple of years ago and the garage I took it to (or rather they towed it in) just ordered a new one so unless they are unobtainable, maybe one of the main parts suppliers can still supply them?

I would be interested to know where/how did it break?

I have a spare refurbed carb 360 half shaft I'm prepared to part with, I spent a fair bit of effort on it so want £50, delivery should be less than £10 for UK.

Don't tell me the carb ones are different from the injection ones....

They are interchangeable AFAIK, but I have an injection pair on the way, will post more details.

Man, those are evil half-shafts - we used to do that with smoke detectors (not one to be tried at home).

it was knocking a bit but thought it was a gearbox bush so after setting of to work changed to 2nd gear put foot down a bit and no drive it striped the splines on the hub side cv and on the shaft itself seemed to be a bit rusty so that probably contributed to it.

mines a 2ltr on carb so gle as think the glt was injection. I was under the impression that the shaft flanges were the same on both but were bigger than any of the other Renault engines.

They are generally interchangeable and the same except for a gasket on older ones and the injection ones have bigger and longer splines and a shaft with bumps. 360 carb is the same as 340. You could try and find the injection ones but they are rare, I have a spare ungasketed carb type.

I'm not sure about gasket types being interchangeable.
