Problems Logging On V3M

I've had problems logging on at times, it keeps saying that I've had too many attempts to log on with incorrect password/username. I know it's not me as my computer stores them and puts them in for me!
Anyone else had this?

Yes, I have had this on a computer I don't often use to log in. Luckily my usual devices are currently fine.

It's OK at the moment but when it happens I can't get on all day, even after turning the computer off and on again. I even tried changing the password before I realised it was a glitch in the system. It asks you to do a capture thinh at the bottom but there isn't one to do!

I've had it twice and it did throw me the first time but I twigged what was needed.
Copy and past this and you can log in there and then

Still the question is what is causing the problem?
Is it spammers attempting to hack or something else?

This was happening to some of the mod accounts a fortnight or so ago, though has since stopped, I guess they must be working their way through users now.
Aymat went through the logs for us, but phpBB3 doesn't log IP addresses to failed log in attempts unlike some of the more sophisticated forum software.
I *think* they have sorted members by total number of posts, then gone for each one in turn

So it's actually someone else (or their computer) trying to crack the passwords and log in on our accounts?
Haven't they got better things to do?

I'm only assuming. I can only imagine it's so they can have a go at advertising crap whilst looking like a trusted member.
Mine was done again between my last post and this one
