Need some info

The white one is as far as I can see, there to stop the window mech hitting any door locking components. The black one almost looks like under the indicator/wiper stalks, almost.

The black one is the holder for the jack

Black part is holder for the jack (13)

White part is (46) "protective casing" round the lock assembly inside the door. These are handed. Think it is a driver's side one.

"Protective casing" (white part) I'm pretty certain only came on later cars (I'm not sure which model year it was introduced) and was to make breaking in a bit harder.

Ironically I thought of that black plastic as ventilation part and started to look under the hood, dashboard for holes to fit these two screws even uninstalling the air blower for any clues I could spend life time without recognizing where this thing goes to

My mk1 has those door lock protector thingy plastic bits lol.
The other is definatly a jack holder.

Think Mark's car is an '81 so you may be correct in thinking the earlier cars didn't have it, Chris!

79 and earlier (different) jack carried bag in spare wheel centre.

Door handle protective guard - pt.no.3283879/880 ch.710000 (1983 yr.mod.) on
pt.no.3298302/303 ch.610000 - 709999 (1982 yr.mod.)
1981 mod. and earlier - not fitted.
