Fuel leaking from the rear

Walking back to the car after paying for my fuel and noticed a big puddle under the back. It was more than dripping out and definitely fuel. Can't see anything leaking out of the main filler pipe but it's dripping down from the top of this other little pipe. I haven't been filling it up to the brim for a few weeks now but noticed my economy has gone down to 26mpg this and the previous fill so seems like a recent thing. Doesn't look too expensive but does need to get sorted pretty quick. Anyone had similar or got any thoughts on repair? Thanks.

The first petrol hose to leak is usually one inside the boot behind the trim panel. Quite easy to replace. The ones underneath are harder to replace but do-able.

Take the left hand inner boot trim panel off and you will see several hoses, 3/4" and 1/4" from memory is what you need, but do check, it's been a month or so since I did one and my memory is terrible

Thanks both. Just to check is it just the hose I might need to replace or any gaskets/retaining clips etc?

I've found most rubber fuel hoses need replaced after about 15 years. Injection ones last a bit better.

Hello, some of the jubilee clips may get knackered when you undo them or do them up again so its worth having a few spares....

I have no idea what reference I was using for left hand. Drivers side, i.e. petrol cap side. May that can be construed as left if you stand on your head or something
Those clips are normally crimped ones, so one use and you'll need new

Ohhhhhh yeah, thanks for the reminder - I completely forgot they are crimped so, of course, not re-useable ever, ever, ever!! Duh!!

This reference is clearly for us Aussies as .... ah you know the old down under thing.
Mine is leaking from the top of the tank there is to hoses one about 1/2" and the other 1/4" both are wet with petrol after I filled it to the brim.
