Front wheels shaking

Hi.

I have a problem with my front wheels. They are shaking when I drive above 65 mph.
I have new tyres and the rims are not distorted in any way.
I have checked the ball joints, shock absorbers and track rods and they all look nice.

What can be wrong? What am I missing?

Regards.
Peter

it really sounds like a bad tire or a dodgy bearing, you could try swapping your fronts over, or swapping fronts for backs,

Sounds more like wheel balancing to me, as Dave suggested try swapping front to back and see if that makes a difference.

Sounds exactly like balancing. If the tyres are new I would go back to the garage and have them rebalanced - perhaps a balancing weight flew off (has happened to me) or the tyres have shifted a bit since being fitted?? Also possibly a dodge tyre - if they were cheap ones.

Hi again.

Since I posted I had the wheels balanced and the problem is still there.

If I turn the wheels bolted on the hub, I can't see any bumping in any direction.

What can be wrong? I have not yet tried to replace the front bearing. Could it be there I find the source to the problem?

What about the inner steering rods?

Regards.
