Can you imagine trying this in Blighty? You'd be done for trespass, breaking the Protection of Military Remains Act, 1986, not to mention the lockdown, and probably a lot more too. They'd have bomb-disposal and forensics on site for 3 months and Forestry Commission could get you for cutting down trees without a felling license!!

It's a shame this place is quiet. Facebook groups have a much busier presence, but are much harder to search for technical info etc. :(

I am a 'detectorist' too, one of my other interests....as you say no way that would be allowed here....RIP soldier..!
If anyone is fancying a good box set to binge on during the lockdown I recommend Detectorists, one of the best British series in a long time, loads of underlying humour... think it is on iPlayer.

Fairly new here and surprised how quiet it is, great forum with hours of reading and knowledge to be gained. FB serves a purpose to satisfy an immediate response but forums always have longevity attached. Long may it continue.

Sadly this lockdown is preventing me getting miles on my 'new' 360 after a long winter's wait, can't really class an evening run out as essential travel

Stay safe folks...!

Yes you're right, it used to be much busier but the conversation seems to often happen on the Facebook group nowadays. Thankfully this is still here as you say there's a lot of information still and it's searchable!

Likewise missing driving the 360 - I had just MOT'd my GLT and taxed it. Back on SORN again and stuck in a garage. Does mean I can get some work done on the GLS though ready for it's MOT!

Long live the forum, by far the most useful format. I am on several other hobby related forums and they are always the most informative. I notice there is a section for 'topics to classify' there are a lot of good posts in here, I assume forum admin are slowly working through these ? I would be happy to lend a hand if it is of any use Admin ?

My MOT will expire very shortly but I have the 6 months extension to fall back on. I had booked for a full set of new tyres the week the lockdown happened, thinking they would be done in good time for the MOT....
I thought it best to cancel the tyres and heed the lockdown and will re-book when restrictions lift, followed by the MOT....
Like you I am picking away at a few jobs needing doing.
Cheers
