were there any differences between the glt engine and the gli engine? i only ask cos at the back of my volvo manual it claims that the gli should do better mpg than the glt..

I can answer to you because I had a GLT and I have a 360 GL injection now...
The engine is the same, the only little difference is for the gearbox, the GLT gearbox is a little bit more sporty, the gear ratio is shorter
-> better mpg for the GLi but same topspeed...

I must admit that I don't really feel it... But I miss my ex 360 GLT, I'm sure about that and there is the same car on Ebay

no difference in gearbox. GLT and GLE etc. may only have final drives with different ratios. M47R first and second version are very little bit different, but it only depends on the model year.

Are all the final drives as strong as each other? A 'B14' final drive would make a B200 accelerate nicely...if it can hold up to the extra torque.
cheers
