Good luck chap, hope all goes well, but don't over do it! You've got some serious work to do there, I had hoped to get on with some work on my 300 projects this weekend, however, best laid plans etc, it never happened. So, we'll be looking forward to a full report once the tasks are completed mate.

Well guys i did it and a bit more too!!!! The only thing i didnt manage to do was fit the rear opening quarters, as i didnt manage to get them out of the doner car. I did however have to replace the front bumper irons as the tags that you bolt the bumper to were damaged and the bumper beam was bent too, so i also replaced that with a mint one. Anyways here is the pics.

A few parts!!!!

First thing to tackle was the windscreen.

Screenless.

All this had to be removed to get to the four clips that hold the screen rubber in!!

The differance between the tinted and non tinted glass.

Next i needed to get the handles repainted so they would be dry enough to fit before the front had paint.

Then the parts stripping began!!!

Bumperless.

The wing was the next job to tackle. After removing the rotten one i dreaded how much rot i would find!!!

Image
Not alot, only required a small amount of welding and two small patches.

Test fitting.

Image
Removed and ready for paint!!!

Before and after of bumper irons. The black ones have simply been flatted rust proofed and repainted.

Next i flatted the passenger wing to a ready to paint stage.

The next pics show the car as it will look when finished, minus paint. Thats complete with Fibregalss valance and the extra lip spoiler. Hope you all like it.

Well, Adam, looks like you've been busy mate! I was wondering how you'd got on. Looks quite something. I really need to get my backside in gear and get the bodykit painting underway! How did you attach your lip lip!? Also where did you get the right parts for attaching the bodykit, (Foggy, any chance of that info you had on the hole locations and fixing points etc?) and know where to drill the holes in the kit? That car is certainly one special model, be good to see the pics when you get it back.

Aha the bottom lip is drilled and bolted. Then the front valance uses existing bolts and clips already on the car!!!!
It uses the front self tapper 2nd up in the arches and uses the clip under the bumper irons.
