Hi,
What parts differ from the b19a, which the 360 has, vs. the b19a from the 240?
I heard rumors that the oilpan might be different?
Also, I can cleary see that the exhaust manifoils are not the same.
Are there other concers, regarding this swap?

Oilpan and pump....that's about it I'd say. I'm very surprised that the exhaust manifold is different - I thought Volvo only had one design of NA 8v exhaust manifold.
cheers

which pump is this?
we are renting a garage tomorrow and we want to make all preperations, as it costs per hour...
our plan is to dis-assemble all parts that has to be changed / removed.
we hope we can dis-assemble the hood, radiator, fan, hoses, wires, etc. before we go to the garage.
then we think we might swap the engine in 3hrs?
we will rent with professional tools, lifting equiptment, etc.
is there anything else we need to know?
ps. remember to tell which pump you are talking about.. the car does not have power assisted steering!

Sorry....oil pump! I believe it has a 'bent' pickup arm to match the different oilpan.
cheers

thanx
the 360 is a friend and colleague of mine..
I found this guy stopped at a highway and I helped him out.. he said he would junk the car, so I asked if he would sell it for the "pawnage" that we get for the cars (130£). the engine was burnt :S
but since I had the b19a from my 242, which now has the 960 3.0 24v inline 6, no cat, 3" jt superflow, custom collector, and soon twinturbo... I called and asked the guy I gave my old rear axle, m45, engine, etc. for free to, what he wanted for the b19a... he said that my friend with the 360 could get it for free..
I dont know if he will do anything more with the car, but we have been playing with the idea of making it megasquirt, turbo, cool rims, rear spoiler, wheel arch wideners, etc.
I guess we will see, as the car is not very bad shape..
It has a dent on the rear door, some scratches in the paint, etc. but no rust as far I one can see from the exterior, and it looks like the rear seat has never been used.
the car has been driven only 170.000km.. an 85 year old lady owned it, untill she gave it to her childs child..

Here is the car:

ps.. whe think that maybe the engine is not defect after all.
the seller said that the "frost plug" had fallen out and that the engine went hot and is damaged.
however, after banging on the starter, it went a couple of cycles..
we could turn it manually with a socket wrench.
eg. we will try a new starter on monday.
future plans might involve b230at (r-sport turbokit).
the car doesent look very bad shape.. so with a bit of love, it might be a nice ride.

I'd be interested in picking up an R-Sport turbo kit if you could get your hands on one. Just the intake pipe (with the plenum box with 'turbo' written on it) would do actually.
