Is there any way of the Volvo 440's rear calipers and discs fit in the back of the 340?
Thanks

You can make anything or any part to fit 340
You just have to match and fit it proberly..
But i have tought this same idea to fit somekind disks in rear.
It is possible

I'm doing a brake upgrade at the moment on my car using 280mm golf G60 disks all round with subaru impreza turbo 2 pot calipers up front and 2wd cosworth rears. I have nearly finished doing the front conversion and am yet to start the rears however on first glance anything is possible, however this will mainly be an isssue dependent on the wheel size you are running.
My setup will be designed to make the most (and i mean the most) from the 15" 400 series of rims.

Wouldnt it be better to uprate the front discs, calipers and pads before doing the rear? Unless you are using the car at stupid speeds around the track you dont really need rear discs. Drums do the job just fine for road use.
The standard discs are way too small, those should be the priority.
