I have by the my 340 4 step gear box. To me have brought from analysis other gearbox with differential and reducer. But do not know what it 4 or 5 step. Where to look on it identification mark?
What in general boxes?
What identification marks?
What of them is better?
It's easy. The 4 speed boxes are shorter, with a longer 'neck' on the input shaft to compensate. The 5 speed boxes literally have an extra section for 5th gear bolted in the middle.
I'm sure there is a plate on the box, but I couldn't tell you where or what it says.
Do you have a Haynes manual? That has a picture of a 5 speed box in it, and if you already know what a 4 speed looks like, I'm sure you'll notice the radical difference quite easily!
Problem in that that I do not see a box. It in a warehouse and the person in them does not understand, it today has called and has told--- > M45F . It is 4 step gear box
