How do you survive without the aircon?

Oh man, it was soooo hot today...

30° outside, inside the car it would be ..............

Are you dreaming like me about a special switch on the dashboard for the aircon? I do!!!

Fine... Sunroof helps and you can always open the windows.

i dont like aircon. makes the air to dry for my tastes. just open the windows n drive faster

and get a nice white car too

btw gl and up had tinted glass so they're cooler

Yes, ok for the windows and the sunroof (I don't have that) but driving downtown, it don't help really much...

I have a 1984 special DL 5lab, tinted glass is there but I'm not sure I would agree with your conclusion "tinted glass > cooler" lol

My mothers car has clear windows and I feel that it is way too hot to be used for trips in sunny days, sun burns everything inside

But in my gl I have nice green windows and it is very rare that it would be way too hot. Even if car has been in sun many hours and I start to drive it cools down really quickly.

I just keep fan at 2 and airflow is up and down

Maybe you want to buy my 1988 GLT.
Just swap the aircon, keep the engine as a spare part
and sell the other bits?

Only slight problem I can see with this plan...will a left hand drive kit fit a right hand drive car? If it will, count me first in line!

I bought another GLT with aircon fitted as standard.
