How many drive shaft do you have, are they reinforced, or daily change them, I do am curious
because I wanted to change the engine on a Gle to a B21et with much better high refs than
b230ft, and stronger, but I do not have shafts to alter every day. Eny idea how to solf that?
We ( My Son and me) talking to alter the rear to a 240 1031, would that one option?
some engines not mentioned

The biggest broblem in the car is between the propeller shaft and gearbox axel.. There is a
thing that connects them together and its aluminium.. If you burn rubber everyday whit clutch
then there will be some wreckmetal.. But if you drive normally the drive shaft will last.. Then
again you can wreck even a meter long piece of railwaysteel when used wrong

Oh yeah and i think you cant put the 1031... Couse the
gearbox in 240 is where it should be (attached to motor, not in the drive shaft)...

i have a 360glt grp a rally car(built from new shell 1984)so know a bit about the drive train. re
drive shafts,i have snapped reinforced shafts so got some made out of rs cosworth shafts !
bullet proof

the cost inc manufacturing was £220 using new shafts-expensive but worth
it.
i'll be back !

there is a 305bhp Volvo 360 in the UK that is raced on the
track, it has a 2.3 turbo, i have messaged the guy and he says he has never bent or smashed
a driveshaft or blown a gearbox. 360s are tough old beasts, they can take it!!
