I don't know what mod is but... where did you get that exhaust manifold?

The manifold is the mod!!! It is off a spi 1.8 440. I had to replace the original 1.7 manifold as it was causing the down pipe to shear off at the flange (3 times). It is now pulling better and producing better fuel consumption

Is this the one that nearly made its escape through Vickys rear window on the trip back from the Ludlow scrapyard
(We went through a pit in the car with no suspension and a manifold about 1 inch from the glass) lol

Looks Good.

Just been wondering, has anyone ever put a turbo-diesel in a 340. Did Volvo ever make one?

There was a diesel 300, but not avaliable in the Uk. Was it Italy that has some? Anyway they are apparently very slow.
I believe someone here has a 300 with a diesel (nissan engine?) but it's not being used. It was mentioned a few days ago...

Yeah Pete has the 360GLT with the Nissan Turbo Diesel lump... it is possible to fit the Turbo Diesel engine out of the 400 series into the 300 series.. without toooo much trouble, be pretty pokey too!

We get 340 diesel here
Some weeks ago I almost bought one for 100 euros...
But they are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow, and the engine is not very reliable.
Is the same that can be found in Renault Express 1.6D
