Has anyone got a decent condition steering damper/rubber/flex joint (not sure of the correct name - it sits on the steering column near the exhaust). The one on my car is in bad condition and needs changing.

Thanks!

If it's the steering dampner then you can just get it from the dealership from what others have said, it's not expensive IIRC. Also, you told me your car had steering play on MSN the other week - this play might well be down to this dampner from what I've read on non PAS cars?

Local dealer told me its no longer available :?

If anyone can get them, please pass on the dealer name so I can order one!

Does look like it caused the play. Had the MOT today and passed, but it needs to be changed!

I got one for my old 360 a few months back from the Stratstone Dealer in Oldham - they ordered it direct from factory (who are still making them).

That would be a great help. Now I'm home had a proper look. It has completely failed, there is nothing holding the steering together except the bits of broken rubber pushing each other

It’s not driveable at all!

Ok if it is the part I think it is (and I am pretty sure (rubber coupling on steering column))

It is called a clutch! - it costs £11.40 - part number 3208578

 If it isn't that I have the full exploded diagram here (thanks to my local dealership - Parts manager is a nice guy and he kitted out a 360 in R-Sport goodies for the showroom in the '80's  )

How lucky am I :D
