Hi and welcome. From the avatar pic it looks like an interesting car. Is that a GT R badge in the grille? Nice touch! And is it a non metallic dark blue, or is it the light and it's actually black? Enjoy your car and the resources and help that can be found on here at V3M.

there she is folks, you may recognise her from a thread on here when she was on ebay. i'd been driving a big '93 audi estate to work and when i saw how much the MOT was gonna cost i just scrapped it and hit ebay. i'd had a 1.6 440li for a bit a while ago, and i really fancied a cheap RWD beastie. she's not in the best condition, a few scrapes and paint fade here and there, but i've not been let down yet, thanks to that legendary reliability. she is indeed a GLT, however i'm mystified as to how you can tell from that tiny picture! The GTR badge was meant as an ironic statement about the performance, but i've since been really rather impressed, considering it's a 1989 8valver!
Thanks for the welcome, i think i'll be on here quite a bit, might even try to put up some drift videos if it rains soon

Ooh I remember that car! Guessing it was a GLT was easy, no other model came in black with colour coded bumpers

There weren't many models with black-surrounded grilles either.
If they're not rusty, there's not much else to go wrong with them.
cheers

yeah she's got a few rust spots but nothing structural, and nowhere near as bad as some earlier 300s i've seen! starts every time, squeaky rear suspension etc, but absolutely great fun and really individual, you certainly don't see many about.
when i sort out somewhere to host pictures, i'll chuck some more detailed ones up illustrating the bits that are a tad rough.
cheers again for being friendly guys

This gave the game away for me that it was a GLT! LOL, no guessing required, but then we are all sad enough, sorry, educated enough to spot these things that have been pointed out already, such as the grille surround and colour coded bumpers!
Yeah, you'll find it's a friendly place here at V3M. Being individual or different owning a 300 is great! Enjoy V3M, hope you find it useful.
