i spotted a 340 in the airfield i work and the firemen are
using it to practice their metal chopping skills at the moment .

and i want to save some bit from it before they smash the thing up .
i am wondering whats holding the gearstick surround on the 340

how many bolts /screws ,what type of screw driver /socket do i need ??
also anyone after any small bits and bobs from the same car for the price of postage give me a shout on this thread (i hate to see usefull stuff wasted :) )

cheers

From memory i think you just need a philips head screw driver, one screw should see the surround out IIRC, if you want the whole centre console you'll also need a long screwdriver to get to the screws under the dash.

thanks for the help .

this car had heated seats as well by the looks of the plugs underneath
the seats and the buttons on the centre console .
is this standard on a 340 ?
