Hi everyone.

I would like to show you what I have collected last month in Holland.

I had to pay 750 EUR for the kit, but it's complete and original.

My future plan is to find a decent Volvo 340 B19 from 1982, give it a complete overhaul and make a Volvo 340 R-sport replica. I think I will put in a B23, 405 head, H-cam and Solex 45's to make it a wild beast
That's my future plan :D

Regards.

Thats a very nice kit. I would say the carbs are worth the best part of what you paid.

It would be realy nice to get the R sport stickers copied.

Hi Dai.

I could make a scan of them!
Would that be OK, or did you have an other idea?

Regards.

Niiiice! Good work. Often is the case such rare and sought after items are thrown away when people don't realise what they are and what they could mean to someone, but luckily you've got this item and intend to put it to good use! Keep us updatee and good luck for the project.

I remember you mentioning that this was on the way Peter. It looks too good to use!

Interesting that the exhaust manifold appears to have lambda sensor ports on each pot. The 'retro-fit' guide talks of creating such holes for pot-by-pot tuning...more or less the only way to get it 'perfect'.

cheers

Hi all.

Thanks for all the replies.

I will make a scan of the stickers ASAP (i recon tonight) and post it here!

I think that the replica is a future project, ie. a couple of years into the future!

Regards.

Try and get the best possible detail in your pics/scans of the stickers. Most of the parts are available or similar and a good copy of the sticker would be great on any R sport replica. :D

If we're talking about the same part, I believe it's an enamelled metal badge for the front wings, not a sticker! Quentin (IIRC) on the French forum also had a new set of those badges.

cheers

NICE!!

you planning to paint the car white and copy the decals too?

HI all.

Yes, I have made a few scans, but I'm not happy with result.
Give me a few more days and then I will have a good scan ready!
How about scaling?
Should I make a piece of scaling paper and lay the sticker on top of it, so you can see just how the scaling is?

And, yes Shimon, my plan is to find a good 340 B19 from '82, overhaul it, paint it white together with the MK-II rims, see if I can find some way to make the R-sport decals to the side of the car and then make a monster of an engine (B23, 405 head, nasty-cam, twin solex/weber/dellorto, overhaul the gearbox and diff and other stuff).

Regards.
Peter

UPDATE UPDATE:::::

Here is the scanning of the R-sport label!!

Is it something that people can use or must I make another scanning?
Please let me know if it's OK!

BTW!! I have bought 2 of mac's gasket kits, and the quality is amazing!
That's some very nice kits :D
Good work there mac :D
