Stolen Car

Post by Nick C »

My Housemate's Mk1 Escort was stolen last night
Someone stole my car overnight. Yes, I'm now passed the phase of shouting expletives. She was taken from Romsey so I'm asking people if they could keep their eyes open locally.

She's fairly obvious, very Purple, Mk1, square lights, RS2000 Wheels (added since photo).

See - http://www.road-rallying.org.uk/junk/es ... ort001.jpg
If anyone sees anything, please contact Susan on ugm7sb@yahoo.co.uk or 023 8077 9725

Please pass this on to everyone you can think of.

It is a flippin obvious car guys, and a lot of time (and pennies) has gone into it.

I'd imagine it's too obvious to straight sell, but keep yours eyes peeled anyway, and if anyone does any banger racing, keep your eyes open for it turning up.

Are they common for drifting? If so if the drfit guys could keep an eye out too, it'd be much appriciated.

Gits, lets hope that because it's an obvious car it gets spotted and they get caught, asap. Might be worth contacting all the local free ads and local papers incase anyone tries advertising any Mk1 Escorts, in any colour tbh, as a quick respray and they'll be trying to get shot of it on dodgy plates and a new identity. Also Ebay might be able to help. I'll pass it onto a few people in the Escort scene and see if they hear anything. Old skool ford forums might be worth looking at too and posting there.
Good luck.

Thieving idiots. I hope the car's safely returned :(

I think I saw an early Escort the other day actually, just a flash at a junction, they seem very rare these days.

i know a guy who had a mk1 nicked. it was a 1300 in bright plum purple. had it nicked outside his mates house. c*nts just towed it away...

nice car really with twin carbs and all that.

the most likely thing thats happened to all these mk1/mk2's that get nicked is they are broken for bits and you have no chance in hell of finding the car or the people that ever did it.

I've passed the info onto my Uncle who works on a lot of Escorts for rally cars and welding work. He's going to pass the info onto the editor of a Ford orientated classics magazine to keep an eye out for it.

Good luck.
