special - could you do me a favour and take some pics of one of your centre caps for me? (ie the the bit in the middle of your wheels) - i'm trying to locate some and it'd be useful if i had some photos from a couple of angles. cheers mate :)

btw, on a 340 you might be able to mount the sub in the boot floor, where the wheel would be if it were a 360.

Do yourself a favour, build it a proper box - mounting a sub directly into a false floor would be a total waste! Nice price....a brand / model we've heard of? Probably doesn't matter for £15 though!

You're much better off trying to mount a sub in the boot floor of a 360 with the spare wheel out, as on a 340 you've got a solid floor (with a fuel tank beneath it!!) to contend with.

I'd just build a 'conventional' box, but make it look good.

I always forgot that the spare tire in 340 is located in engine bay..

theres no-where else you could have it cos you cant move the fuel tank in the auto-boxed cars. dunno why the 1.7 was that way round thou.

The 340 tank is lighter...maybe that's why?

the actual tank would have a similar weight when empty.. its not *much* different thou - maybe 10kg when full?

the 2 subs are boss not the greatest in the world but at 600 watts they will do this is somthin to do over winter so theres no rush
the system i have will do for the moment
the false floor is just goin to hide the amps and cabling

A word of warning...there's '600w', and 600w....I'd exercise some caution before you try putting 1200w into the pair...!

cheers

yea i know i generaly only put a third of the power in to them so it will about 800 odd to both

You ought to put 1:1 power in - that's the *safest* thing to do in a car, but you need to know exactly what the power rating is in real terms - and car audio figures are notoriously hard to trust. Very few budget (and even no-so budget!) '800w' amps will deliver half that in real terms.

i wired one of the subs up and there a load of cack if i had paid a lot of money i would be well p***ed off but i dident so im just iritaded

i also have had an anoying rattle from the back of the car when the stereo volume is up so i spent 4 hours yesterday covering the inside of the boot with inch foam from work only for me to fire the system back up and the rattle still to be there
found out its the back window rattling sm2
so ive had better weekends
