I may have mentioned it here before but our family wagon is a Hyundai Trajet ,

Image

its a lovely piece of kit and pees all over the sharan /galaxy /alhambra brigade ,
7 individual leather seats , limo glass , aircon , cruise control and the sweetest lump you could ever want
YES I KNOW ITS FWD.
but what has volvo ever done for the large family apart from the XC90 and silly rear facing seats made for dwarfs in the back of the estates

2.7 litre quadcam V6,
( they are going to put this lump in the new S type Jag for gods sake )
it pulls like a train and sounds like an alfa romeo

YES I KNOW ITS FWD.
but what has volvo ever done for the large family apart from the XC90 and silly rear facing seats made for dwarfs in the back of the estates.

of course I have tarted mine up with wind deflectors , chrome side rails , clear side repeaters , uprated lights ,K+n filter and 16" Honda civic rims
( in fact the only factory option I havent got is the wooden dash kit )

the downside I found out today is there servicing charges .

phoned the stealership today for a quote

70,000 mile service
change oil and filter
change pollen filter
inspect everything else

cost £210.00 + vat total £ 246.75

to change the bloody oil and basically look at bits to see if they are worn.

I could buy another golf or 300 and get an mot for a year on it for less than that lol

You're comparing the really really high up four door Volvo with a people carrier ;) Can't stand the XC90... but lets leave that...

I thought you were becoming car delboy? Doesn't that mean to make you a few pennies you do your own servicing on the golf's etc? If you'd done that on the tragedy, you'd be in profit the equiv of 2 golf sales!

thats my whole point volvo have missed out on a massive slice of the car market by not producing a people carrier ,

if they had it would have been an instant best seller because of volvo's reputation for safety and build quality.

two items high on any parents reequirements list when picking a vehicle
