B13.4E (1989 onwards) = 402 (was this ever available?)

the B13.4 was a 1289 cc engine, essentially the same as the Volvo 66 GL had. It is not the exact same engine because it has the carburettor and manifolds of the B14.4 while the V66GL engine had a sidedraft single-barrel Solex carburettor (exhaust manifold identical to 343)

the B13.4 was only marketed in certain markets where displacement was taxed progressively, which made it interesting to run small but highly tuned engines. As far as I know the only markets where the B13 was available were Finland and Italy.

Greetings, Wouter

And that B13 is very rare here too, I have heard perhaps from one, but I think even that was only engine, not whole car that was on sale.

OK I did not know that. Which year(s) are we talking now?

The Belgian tax-system is also based on engine size I think (or engine power, or mixed calculation or something). so the B13.4 would possibly have been cheaper.

never saw one, though.
