Would anyone be interested in a free 340GL (1397 engine) with 52,130 miles on the clock? It will not start, I suspect the Renex has packed up as it turns and fires a bit, then gives up. This problem happened instantly and prior to this it ran absolutely beatifully. I've had it about 2 years, and done about 20,000 miles in it. I've changed the oil and filter 3 times in that period, so the actual engine is very nice. It's MOT'd till end of July, and just had a new o/s/f coil spring. The body shell is perfect, the outer panels are fairly scruffy (although the mot tester commented on how smart it is, I'm a classic car enthusiast, so it looks scuffy to me!) The tailgate struts still support the tailgate and work the light, and the interior is pretty much perfect, even the clock works. All the lights and lenses are in good nick, and the bumpers are undamaged. The spare tyre is new, three tyres are excellent, and the n/s/f is scrubbed off on the outside, they are all Goodyear 'Club'. I could send it to the scrap yard, as i've 3 other cars to look after and the show season is just about to kick off, I havent time to get it going, but I love these little cars, and would rather it went to save another. I am in East Yorkshire, get in touch through this site if it would be of any use to you.

Due to time and storage pressures, I'm sorry to say that this car will have to go to the breakers at the end of April if nobody wants to save it.

Really would have liked to give it to someone who could use it.

Is it a 3 door or 5 door?

Hi, I could save it from the breakers but it would end up there eventually-I need a screen and a couple of other bits-but it's unlikely it would appear on the road again under my ownership-I could arrange collection hopefully w/end 21/22 April.
Let me know if this fits with your plans.
