Why not to fit 17's to your 300
I agree, but it shits me, most tyre manufacturers, here in aus at least, don't make their high performance tyres for 15 wheels, or if they do, it's only in a 195, i'd like to get some wider wheels and good tyres to match, but it's pretty hard to find unless you want to start running semi slicks.jtbo wrote:That would look ugly even lowered, too big just is too big, 15" is absolutely maximum size for these cars and that already needs lowering, imo.
Good Year Eagle GS-D2 is only one that I have found, it should be actually pretty good also and I think it should be available in your place toodalahare wrote:I agree, but it shits me, most tyre manufacturers, here in aus at least, don't make their high performance tyres for 15 wheels, or if they do, it's only in a 195, i'd like to get some wider wheels and good tyres to match, but it's pretty hard to find unless you want to start running semi slicks.jtbo wrote:That would look ugly even lowered, too big just is too big, 15" is absolutely maximum size for these cars and that already needs lowering, imo.

We get the gs-d3 here, haven't had them on my car, but a mate has them on his old golf, with very stiff suspension, and whilst it is fun, I still want more!!!jtbo wrote:Good Year Eagle GS-D2 is only one that I have found, it should be actually pretty good also and I think it should be available in your place toodalahare wrote:I agree, but it shits me, most tyre manufacturers, here in aus at least, don't make their high performance tyres for 15 wheels, or if they do, it's only in a 195, i'd like to get some wider wheels and good tyres to match, but it's pretty hard to find unless you want to start running semi slicks.jtbo wrote:That would look ugly even lowered, too big just is too big, 15" is absolutely maximum size for these cars and that already needs lowering, imo.
Goodyear is the only mainstram manufacutrr to have it flagship tyre available in 15"
I think it would be awsome to be able to run 7 or 8 inch wide rims and 225-245 wide tyre, unfortunately they aren't usually made that wide for 15" rims.
Next question isuppose is would a rim that wide, given the correct offset, fit inside our wheel arches?
