LOL i've got a 1.2 8v clio as a runaround and it'd never beat lots of stuff on that list in a straight line. They handle turd too, I can only make mine go round corners fast cos i've driven it so much that I know where and when it'll understeer.

I was just looking at some car mags in a newsagent the other day, and saw a clio that had an Audi TT engine fitted.

Made me think, Clio 1.8 into 340 is easy, Hmm 340, Audi TT engine....

Flan (the guy who built it I know him as I previously owned a clio lol) used the VAG gearbox tho so to VAG engine won't just bolt into a 340.

They're not the best engines anyway very limited for tuning unless you go steel bottom end. A b230 turbo will make more power for lots lots cheaper.

Have a nosey at this months PPC MJ, is an interesting write up of it. Also a few other interesting cars, not a magazine I normally get, but needed something to read on the ferry!

I still haven't forgiven PPC for being...annoying. That magazine could be great if they'd be a bit more open minded.

cheers
