Say hello, and goodbye, to my Volvo 360injection super rat..

It seems to have been put up on every forum in the land, its pretty nuts, but my wide arch, 10x13'd, ET minus 32'd, satin blacked, lowered, diffed, Volvo 360 2litre injection has to go, with or without the arches n wheels, as i need the room.
Shame really, as its well cool, but at least someone else will get to piss about with it.
Anyhow, here it is...
Got tons more pics from other angles, and closeups of various things, and pics of it without the wheels and the arches, but for now, there you go.
Note the clever shortened sides of the front bumper and modded front grille, was happy with them...

The paint actually came out pretty damn well on that, massive overspray aside

What's the asking price?
You mention with/without arches...are they removable without leaving holes? Not a huge deal either way.
cheers

i did it in an hour with minimal masking, i just wanted to see what itd look like, and either way, itd look better than the crappy tatty blue it was before.
paint came out decent enough tho, im pretty good with a can of satin paint, lol.
currently its easy to remove arches as ive not rivited em on yet! if anyone wanted it like that then i would for them of course.
asking price, i dunno, not much without wheels n arches, but 400quid more with them on (so over double the price, lol), and thats with me taking a big loss, wheels n tyres alone cost more than that...
lowered 2inches

Germ- Its a little patchy closeup, but not bad at all. If i spent another hour or so on it it would be perfect.
Hardly any prep really, just whats needed, im pretty good at spraying satin/matt paints.
Itd look a lot better (closeup) if i spent time rubbing down where the badges and side strips was, another hour wouldve got them smooth, but it was never going to be a tidy car due to the previous owner hiding rust with filler, so the paint job was literally a quick colour change.
Its convinced me though that my next "nice" car ill do satin black though, just take a little more time.

What prep did you do?
Did you sand down to metal, or just key the current paint without actually removing any?
The idea of repainting a car sounds fun, but I'd always be worried about causing rust, but if you were to just paint over the top of the existing paint you wouldn't have that worry

Bare metal respray?!

No mate, almost no resprays, regardless of how professional, are like that.
I keyed the paint with sandpaper, basically taking the shine off it, i use suprisingly rough paper with matt/satin paint, esp as i did this one quickly, though with gloss you must use a lot smoother paper.
Either way, its not hard or skilled, just boring, lol.

When I've given cars "mask and blast" jobs I do this.
Flat the main area of panels off with a 400 or 600 grit pad on a DA sander.
Use 240 or 400 grit wet n dry to go round all the trim by hand.
Mask the car up.
Panel Wipe and Tack Rag the car
Give the car a couple of coats of Etch Primer
Flat with 600 by hand
Put a layer of Primer on, allow it to flash off then build up the layers till theres about 6 on there. Flat off with 600 by hand again. Get rid of any runs.
Panel Wipe and tack rag the car again
Spray top coat on. Leaving to dry every couple of layers and sanding with 800.
Laquer and polishing

Ah right, very interesting.
What's 'Tack Rag the car'?

Its a special cloth that lifts all the dust off the car.

iirc a tack rag is a cloth you wipe over the car with to get rid of any specks of dust or dirt before spraying
