Get it here, remove any old version from your rFactor install.

Read readme1st.txt before installing.

There might be small pause in developement due my job, but then again there is not too much to do really in physics wise which has been most time consuming and challenging area.

Right, I've finally got rFactor to a place where I'm happy! My force feedback still needs a bit of tweaking, not quite right, but I've played with the 300 a fair amount, probably have about 2 hours on it now.

I just got bored and decided to look through the files, you were right Jani, they are pretty simple. I took the dyno print of Fake when she was running well, and have added Fake as a new car to the mod. Also added a 500Nm flat torque band monster engine, but I havn't tried that yet!

Fake is a lot more drivable around Brands Hatch, but ultimately 5-8secs slower per lap than your car. Mainly due to the very non agressive cam, you don't have to stay on the power like yours

I don't believe yours can be that slow from standing however...

I've also just switched from 270 to 900 degree steering, and the thing is soooo much harder to drive! I need an uber quick rack

MJ - when you gonna have a hatch model

Also, can you (if it's you who does the skins) sort out as ocean blue (217) dds file (I might be able too once I work out the non notepad hacking part of this game...)

Jani - Do you still want ideas/findings etc on your separate forum or drop you a mail?

I'm trying to update some parts of the model. I've re-textured the headlights which has been a real nightmare learning transparency's in rFactor, but now things should be easier. A hatch is certainly on the cards, but not for a while. I must tweak a few bits of the file such as re-texturing the bumpers, so keep badgering me as I'm lazy, and it's one of those things that's hard to get into. I keep veering off to YouTube or something when I should be working

Right, 500Nm flat torque curve engine no quicker than 1.7.

Mainly because I can't stop doing rolling burnouts. 90, in 5th... hmm, that was a silly idea! MJ, can you turn down the tinted-ness on the windscreen? It seems too dark, and theres a very confused line under the sun strip!

Ooo, the postman delivered my Driving Force Pro yesterday. Now I really must pay for an rFactor licence and get in on this

Gavin, I've got a DFP too, as has Ali, so if you want some settings to start you off with the force feedback we can probably sort you out (Ali plays LFS a lot more than me, I play GTR, GPL and rFactor mainly) You'll see what I mean when you have a play... there are loads of tweaky bits. It feels dubious as anything if you don't have them right!

Oohh... I need a wheel... too much time spend on a gamepad (admittedly a pretty good one) but it's not the same!

Cool, thanks Chris! I'd be interested in your settings GPL and rFactor.

I bought the wheel because of positive comments on this site. I had a quick blast on GP4 last night and was v. impressed, definitely a step up from the joypad

Am looking forward to getting stuck into GPL (big engines and little traction = so much fun), although really bought the wheel to race the 300 in rFactor.

GPL is great fun, even today... but check out the '79 season in rFactor, it's very impressive.

Also, another good mod is the Historic Race Cars... Audi S1 sounds rather nice too

Are you guys (who are already running rFactor) using the Real Feel FFB Plugin released recently? It makes a fantastic improvement to FFB. Get it at rFactorcentral.com

Personally I quite like the Porsche Carrera Cup mod, although you need to be careful not to get the tail out, and the Evo Vs Impreza mod, 4 wheel drifting

Yeah, I'm running the Real Feel thingy after speaking to Jani the other day... although at the moment it's taking a while to get used to. I only realised how bad my FFB settings were when I went to that sim racing place just outside Soton, they have it spot on.

Remember to read readme file in mod, there has been info about realfeel too and some other controller info

Sometimes you need to reverse realfeel ffb too as on some mods forces do work to different direction etc.
