Has anyone fitted HID's to a 300?

Well I am just tidying up the wiring on my missus' 340, using a H4 Hi/Lo kit (6000K temp).

It's awesome! If your thinking about it, just DO IT! I know the decent kits (I am using the Hi/Lo kit that flips the HID tube for full beam, but you can get a fixed cheaper version that uses a halogen bulb for full beam) can cost a lot, but it's so worth it if you want to not only look cool but see where your going at night!

I also fitted Vauxhall Astra Mk2 clear side indicators too which work a treat and also white LED side lights.

Pics will follow this evening when it starts getting dark.

Yes my car has also those lamps. It makes huge difference. They aren't legal here in Finland, but they are worth of the money which you have to pay if you get busted with these. Also my car has auxiliary lights in the grille with 100W H1 halogen bulbs. Those lights are so good that many newer cars can't compete with distance and visibility which these give. I also recommend that conversion.

just make sure they are properly adjusted. Nothing more annoying at night than someone coming the other way with badly adjusted HID lights

Not a great pic but you get the idea. You can just about make out the ballast units mounted onto the bumper supports.

A friend of mine imports the kits in bulk from ting tong land and sells them over here. I have three of his kits now and they are all spot on.

The kit the 300's require is the H4 Hi/Lo kit, he sells them for £110 for a complete set.

He also has some H7 kits in stock (more modern cars use this fitment) which are around £80 each.

Tell him Johnny A sent ya, I am sure he will include postage too for free

That I might do. I was playing with projectors, but such non-essentials have taken a back seat in the last year or so.

cheers
