Help! need a strut top mount!

Post by Jason B »

Hi,

Was changing the springs on my 360 and eviently the threadlocker that volvo or whoever used was strong enough to wreck the thread on one of the strut retaining bolt holes on removal!! Hence I now require a strut top mount.

Cheers

Hello, they very expensive, if you can find them. If its just a threaded bolt hole, you might be able to find a friendly workshop blokey who could re-tap the thread for not very much, or possibly nothing at all. Cheers, bogbasic.

If the rubber is not cracked then you should get away with grinding the nut off and using a nut and bolt.

The the rubber is starting to crack new ones are only about £30 a peice

Thanks for the ideas, I managed to fix it by carefully putting a hardened bolt down through it now the thread is perfect again, (it wasn't as bad as it looked) However, I still have the other side to do :(

Cheers
