due to a recent speed bump issue i now have no rear exhaust section (about 6 inch before the back box there is nothing) and ive been told that its cheaper to buy and fit a new section myself than pay a little oik to weld it up!

does anyone know if the 2.0i section will fit the 2.0 carb (b200k) as im pretty sure i can nab one of them!

now the fun starts fitting it in the uni car park...

Yes it'll fit. Just make sure that you get the correct exhaust for the bodystyle. There is little difference between sedan and hatch.

You need to make sure you get the correct type. The way to tell the back box. One type is like a normal rear box pipe in one end and comes out the other. The crappy one has both pipes in one end

are there any higer flowing ones that would be of use with out making it and louder than standard?

The early GLS box is the stright through type. This should flow better than the type you have but some makes can be restrictive.

Very difficult to find the straight through type, all the later models used the type where both the pipes come out the same side.

I've found Volvo exhausts to be less restrictive than other makes, but with the way the parts situation is at the moment, I've no idea whether they still make them or not

from what the local motor factors say theyre easy to get, ordered at 1pm and they had it in stock for 4pm! lovley stuff!

shame im 50mile from home and the only place i can fit it is the uni car park!! cant wait!!

well its all on and it took a grand total of 20 mins and 55 quid inc fire putty and a new clamp! not bad imo!

its lovley and quiet now! i can hear my self think now and it seems to pick up faster as well!

also it seems to have a slightlt 'modified' exit pipe, you know the one that catches on the spring hanger unless its aligned right, its moved over slightly and now it wont touch even with the rubbers off!

andrew pages wanted 130+vat and wait 3 days, local motor factors (same make and part no') wanted 46+vat and could have it in the shop in 3 hours!!

spiffing job and its really quiet!!
