Hello everyone. I am from Chile and I have a Volvo 360GL 89, B200K. I have a lot of fun reading these forums.

One day as anyone, I turned on the engine, and after a couple of minutes, the meters stopped working. Obviously I have reviewed all types of fuses and connections, and everything is fine.

Perhaps you may have noticed, in the dark, by giving contact was seen as the point of both yellow and red light meters and shut down quickly. Well, now, does not happen.

Behind the panel indicators, I found 6 relays. Will any of them wrong?

Its almost certainly a dodgy connection either in the dashboard multiplugs or perhaps the three plugs behind the fuse box on the inside of the firewall. The relays don't affect the gauges.

Thank you for responding. The plugs behind the indicators are good. Do what you mean 3 plugs? Are those who are below the fuse? Thanks.

Just possible that the voltage regulator has failed which supplies a constant voltage to the instruments, regardless of battery voltage. I suspect it's transistorised in the 360. If it's the same as the 340 the voltage regulator for the instruments will be somewhere on the printed circuit board behind the instruments. If it's a solid state regulator it'll probably look like a three-legged flat transisitor mounted by a single hole metal lug which forms a heat sink. Try measuring some voltages around the pins relative to earth (ignition will need to be on). Good luck! Alex

I think Pettaw is talking about the connections to the back of the fusebox itself. The connections there like to go bad.

The voltage regulator is also a good suggestion. That's pretty likely to be it, given that both gauges went down together.

Agreed, I've had these gauges stop working when I've refitted the dash and it turned out to be the multi plug on teh back not in properly.

As I reviewed these plugs and cleaned, but this did not solve the problem.

At last I had time to review. The problem is the voltage regulator, as specified, should deliver 10 volts, but only gives 0,002 volts .

This week will seek a replacement. Then I will tell you how I was.
