"quote" :

I have a F3R out of a formula Renault single seater for sale. It used to belong to Winston, and i took it as part exchange for somthing, and i have no use for it.

Its basically an RSI engine, with a 2 litre bottom end, and Renaultsport uprated internals, making it produce 175 bhp. The figure is even more impressive when you consider it weighs much less than a williams engine.

Its recently been rebuilt (Hillpower), and comes with a sodemo ECU. Also included is a whole RSI engine so you can swap inlet manifolds to allow it to fit into a clio (or leave the inlet on and fit a bonnet scoop).

Im after £500 for both engines. Would be an absolutley stonking engine for a track car, as i dont know what it revs to, but i suspect its well over 9000.

Its a straight swap into a clio RSI, all you need is the original inlet manifold (supplied) or a modified bonnet (not really a problem for a track car).

An engine the same as this sold on ebay for £750.

It is quite a nice option for a 340. The throttle body looks to be the same as a 440 injection one.

^^indeed,

as an aside ive had a great idea to turbo the 1.7 8)

R5 gtturbo solex carb on modified base, volvo 440 td exhaust manifold and turbo and double thickness head gasket. not for getting an intercooler.
should run 5 -7 psi no problem.
the low tech approch!

that probally wont work :?

You would have to match the manifold thickness up to get them to seal onto the head. The DERV turbo is not designed for the higher revs but worth a try.

Rather than two head gasgets \i would go and get the pistons skimmmed down or fit a 1.8 or 2ltr head.
