Lot of donors cars and parts... V3M for life!
Well, atleast it has no sunroof.. that can only be seen as a good thing! Atleast nothing theres less to go wrong I guess, strange that spec changed between countries!
Looks very nice indeed! That is really odd about the options or the standard items here. Like Steve says, less to go wrong though. Best of luck and it's good to see another one is going to be preserved and enjoyed! Pete
Thats lookin good!!! Is real strange about the difference in the spec although not having a sunroof isnt such a bad thing .Get loads of wind noise from mine . Like the colour a lot , looks cool!
Wow - good choice ol' boy!! It's exactly the same as mine - except mine has all those luxuries - even remote central locking!! Hehe... I thought Germans liked luxury cars anyway?! Yeah, avoid the sunroof...
Hi Steve, not so sure about the remote central locking, but I know Volvo did an alarm which was an added extra, which I would assume worked with central locking on a remote fob! I have what I believe is an aftermarket remote fob and system which opearates an alarm/immobiliser and the central locking. I once saw an E reg black saloon with an alarm, central locking and immobiliser on a remote fob, but I'm not sure if it was genuine Volvo.
Pete
I think its a bit tight of Volvo not including remote central locking really on the high spec models like the GLT - most competitors of its era had it.. although it was a bit crap as most early systems were infra red!
We've said it before, so many things that you do actually take for granted on the 300's, especially the 360 GLT, although some weren't reliable or fantastic, such as electric windows, seats, mirrors and so on but as you say, remote central locking would've been nice, and rear electric windows, it'd make summer more bearable without A/C, another one on the list!
