ATS telephone dial wheels on a 300?

I discovered these on the Bay a few weeks back. Does anyone know if it's likely these were ever fitted to 300's back in the 80's or are they just wrongly listed?

Hör modified 360s using ATS wheels back in '84, but they looked more like this:
The reason I'm asking is: it's a bit difficult to go & fit any old wheel on your car in Germany. You need a stash load of paperwork to shove under the local TÜV-tester's nose to show that at some stage some company offered these wheels for your car, did the relevant safety tests etc. etc. Not an easy task if the company no longer exists (or has "forgotten" they ever supplied parts for your car)
Cheers,
Tom

Is the TüV so hard? Here in the NL, you can fit every wheel you want, as long as it doesn't hit your body in any way, and doesnt come outside of the wheelarch (or not more than X cm anyway.)
If u would like to have some nice wheels, why don't you go for MK2 GLT's (Leo's)?

Even the smallest of modifications to your car has to be declared at the "TÜV" over here. The car papers for my GLT for example have the rear spoiler and the 185 alloys noted, even though it came like that from the factory! No TÜV registration, no papers, no insurance cover.
If I went to the TÜV guy with a couple of old Volvo brochures, and some good condition Leos on the car, it's not likely to be a problem. It's much more difficult getting wheels which were sold by period tuners (Haas or RW rims) "registered" as it's hard to come up with any kind of literature about them, let alone the "official" papers called an "ABE" (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis)
German car tuning forums are full of posts by people desperate for original papers for some obscure old set of alloy wheels...

At the moment, I have a rather quaint-looking set of "Hercules'" on the GLi (redline rims). But in the long run, a set of Haas or "RW Wheels" might look quite nice on the GLT ...

The Ats rims used by Hor seem to be early Opel Manta rims.
Got one lying about somewhere if ya need a number off it.

Yes, I recognise them from other late 70's early 80's Opels as well, Kadett C's, Ascona B's (the base for the Manta B) and the like:
Here's a pic of a 360 with them on, fairly crummy, but the best I have:
Thanks for the offer Sven, but it's the paperwork I'd need (if I found a nice set of ATS rims ...)

I've never seen teledials on a 300 - but have certainly thought that it's probably a good idea!

The only "teledials" I've seen on a 300 were on my old '84' (actually an "84,85,86,86,88,89) yr model - they were one off test wheels (Michelin TRX wheel tyre combo). We (Volvocar UK) evaluated them for a possible GLT fit but eventually went with the "mk3" GLT rims with Pirelli P6s One of the test sets somehow ended up on my runabout. The pic is a good few years ago now and the wheels "went back" when he tyres needed replacing.
There were only ever about 3 sets so chances of finding a set now = 0

Interesting piece of info, mac!
What made me curious about that particular auction was that the seller was based in Offenbach, where Volvo Deutschland was based at the time (now they're in Cologne, presumabely together with Ford). A couple of interesting cars have appeared in and around Offenbach (near Frankfurt) in the past few years, so maybe Volvo Germany tested these on their GLTs too?

You mean you are the reason Mk3 alloys existed Mac
Mk3 spoiler and clusters on a mk2 hatch though... win. I love that look.

Thats weird... Teledials with that 4 bolt pattern usualy are for the Porsche 924... and the bolt patern is 4*108.
Anyway I've seen an Alfetta GTV with similar wheels and the Alfetta bolt pattern is 4*98...
They could belong to a 300...
