You need part of the 16v down pipe with an elbow then join to the original down pipe

i was planning on cutting the flange off the renault downpipe and welding it on the standard volvo pipe seem to line up nicely in the bay. will post up pics if i attempt it tomorrow. otherwise its off to Z-ex to get a s.s downpipe bent up.

I have replaced the complete exhaust with a 2" system and it would seem a shame to feed through the piddley little down pipe that cam with the car.

is the 1.7 downpipe different from the 1.4?

The 1.7 down pipe is just under 2" so will be ok to use. If you wnated to there is no reason why you can not have a one off pipe made.
