How much would u be likely to want for it. Cause i might be interested just to have a spare engine to tinker with and learn about, when i have the cash and the time.

P.s Don't put me down as a definite because i have stuff i need to do before such as gearbox etc, but if the price was affordable then i may be interested.

Cheers.

offers. nothing too cheeky though!

its got:

alternator
starter
new rotor & dizzy
bellhousing with clutch on it(clutch relplace early last year still going strong. same with clutch cable still attached as i cant get it off)

webber carb is a bit dodgey missing one of the air box mounting bolts as it decided to thread its self no big problem as mine still did 125MPH plus.

no water pipes as i had to cut some to remove.

no signs of HG failure. oil change in december. same with filter. could do with being done again.

i may even be tempted to throw RENIX in as well.

okay:)

and if needs be aswell if i remember where i put it the crank position sensors which should be in the back of the tank.

so yeh make me n offer pick up only im afriad as thre escort im running likes to drink fuel.

I'm calling even more BS because it's a 4 speed :-P With a 5 speed and a 3.82:1 diff (B14), 100mph is ~5200rpm. That must have been a mighty big hill! My 360 with double the power will just about do an indicated 130mph on the flat...on a runway, obviously!

cheers

well the thing revs to 6K+

its a nice long straight. and a 3.62 ratio diff jobby. i guess its possible GPS was out who knows i can only go by what i saw. still it'll go even faster sooon:D

end of the day thse high ratio boxes are bloody good.

Well....to be fair...I did see ~110 from my 343 with the 3.91:1 diff-ed early 4-speed. That must have been....7k? Perhaps with a taller diff you'd see a bit more. Nessy (5 speed) would do over 115 if you were keen enough. I think Hugh managed an indicated 118mph in it.

A 3.36:1 diff is good for ~165mph @ 6500rpm :)

cheers

what! there is no way a standard 300 (special rally cars not included) will get to 165mph! - whats more concerning is that you guys have all driven 300's to speeds in excess of 125mph (albeit on private roads obviously) - still doubt a 1.4 can go that fast but I probably wont ever own one so will never find out :)
