My 340 failed the mot needs a new hazard /indicator flasher unit . Do the stealerships still do them or is it a standard item for any car? The garage would not even quote me for replacing it as its a dashboard job! The garage has changed hands so the experienced old hand has gone replaced by wimps!

Volvo might still do it, else halfords do the correct one (:o) Any that have (from memory, double check the green books before you buy one though) 3 terminals will be correct. The green books list the terminals (I think it's 31, 49 and 49a, but again check) halfords will have the same naming convention.

Is it just the indicator (flasher) relay you need - if so PM me your address - I'm sure I can find a known good one lying around.

Panic now over. Hazards are now working. Must have been bad switch contacts . At least i now know how they work with the regular indicator flasher plus a multipole switch. Got a nice new ticket for another year. Only 5 advisaries to sort out all small like wiper blades and wndscreen chips.
