If I use F7P starter, it doesnt work.. With 340 one, is the same... The pinion doesnt get to toothwheel on flywheel...

then you have wired it wrong.
because the f7p one will work! as its the F7P Block & Flywheel.

lol!
I agree, I'm fairly sure the f7p starter fits the f7p block (unless you are running a crazy flywheel)

i think the pinion on F7P starter doesnt get to sprocket fully.. only a bit.. It mades strange sounds but it cant turn the engine...
you think that pinion doesnt move out fully, or what?
Thx for answering

you should be able to move the pinion by hand in one direction only if it goes both ways the one way clutch jobby on it is broken. if it aint moving yes its possible but if the solenoids going/on the way out its possible that its not able to spin up fully thus not engnaging. Try a new starter motor or known good one.

ah, ok - from your first post it sounded like it wasn't reaching the flywheel. If you'd known it was just not spinning then I'd have recommended a clout with a hammer as that usually sorts them

Its the same as the 1.7 one and if you want you can use the slim one off a 2ltr
