Would be a neat conversion, but a lot of work.
Not much room up front for a 5 pot......

There is a adapter kit available somewhere that will allow a white block engine (the 850 one) to replace a red block engine (as in 360's), so connecting it up would be alright if you had a 360. For a 340 you'd need to change most of the drive line.
You'd need some custom mounts in order to fit the engine into the engine bay, but someone experienced in such matters wouldn't have too much trouble. I have no idea about the length of the engines though and if it would physically fit without major changes.
It'd make a super car though, as those 5 cylinder engines are great and sound awesome.

Engine lacks bottom end torque quite badly I have heard. Turbo version might be more reasonable swap as amount of work might not be much bigger, however engine would be lot stronger.

I agree, if you're going to go to all the trouble of putting a whiteblock in there, it would be a bit silly not to use a T5

The 10v is much better for bottom end torque than a 20v...but even the 20v isn't bad. It's a 4000rpm+ engine for power, but it does move below that.
The 5-pot is almost exactly the same length as a B200/B230, last time I measured.
cheers
