not that much play. is you 360 got power steering?

Check the suspension and steering and replace those parts which have play in them. Or you could buy some parts which aid to keep the tail on the side.

But 360 doesn't really like going sideways. Almost everytime when i span it it was cause of turning it against steering lock. And also lack of power... I wasn't able to get it going sideways when going over 70 km/h.

if the car hasen't got power steering you could check the rubber steering

damper, between the steering rack thats some times splits and makes

the car have a lot of play on the steering.

I agree with Jeff, the damper is very close to the rack, protected by a plastic cylinder (coke can sized). Cost's abotu £12 from Volvo for a new one, but a bit of a pain to get too.

I agree with this diagnosis too. But just to note that not all of them had the 'coke can' cover, or have lost them over the years. It might appear as a dirty great big rubbery looking bush on the steering shaft just under your master cylinder.

Also check the rack for wear
