My 340 garage has had a change and lost its 340 expert, Does any body know of a garage/mechanic who can do 340,s in Reading(berkshire) otherwise I will be selling my 1.4l, 340 which has a fairly solid body so has a lot of life left in it.

Why mate?! From the posts you've made in the past, I wouldn't have put you down as someone who 'needed' a garage to do the bits on your car! Though I'm now realising time is more required than expertise on these things

I have had the car for 10 years and only done routine maintenance on it. myself. Oil changes etc. My now retired 340 expert did front strut rubbers, rear brake shoes,carb bolts, radiator, petrol pipes, I use the car for fortnightly round trips of 200 miles and have little time for biggish jobs.and an arthritic back! The clutch rattle may need attention. I have passed info to the club from this 340 expert for other owners use . He was a great 340 friendly mechanic and also very reasonable. I need a replacement but probably wont find one locally.

why not speak to the garage he used to work at and get hold of him that way and see if hes intrested in earning some cash in hand>?
