is this a straight fit into a 340?

does it mean its switchable so can act as an open diff but also change to a welded diff?

Definately not a straight swap to 340. Sort off, when it senses slip on one wheel it locks solid then unlocks at around 25mph in standard form.

Quite a bit hence the sale, it is possible but custom parts will need to be machined up.
