The other alloys

Hey kids,

With all this talk of alloys, has everyone forgotten the other two styles of original wheel (other than those shown in the 89MY accessories brochure)? A Merry Christmas prize of a half eaten Polo goes to the person who gets them both (with photographic proof) first!

I'll post the pics in a few days if were all stuck.

cheers

You half win.....but no half eaten polo!

The second ones are the easy ones (heck, you bought a set!!), but the first ones are standard early 14" GLT ones as far as I can tell - its just a funny angle. Would they really make two styles so similar? Well probably yes, but lets assume that since that that's a GLT, those are the 'normal' GLT ones.

In other words....keep looking! IMO, the ones you're looking for are by far the tastiest rims ever available from the factory for the 300 (with the possible exception of the 5-spoke 400 series ones offered at the very end).

They are steelies :) I've only ever seen them wheels in brochures before though on the Mk2 GLTs around 1983. I can't think of the other one that Foggy is talking about... put us out of our mysery!

Hugh got the first ones (no need to repost)....while the second set of previously unseen alloys are....13" R-Sport ones...and I think they're damn sexy...

They have done very bad things to this car, but what are these wheels?
