I realise that I should know this, and am almost embarrassed to ask, as it applies to any car, not just the 340!
But, the steering wheel is not "straightahead" when driving in a straight line.
It's only a small but niggling point.
What needs to be done to correct it - is it likely to be tracking - the sort of thing a tyre centre could do?
Thanks.
Very basic query re steering angles etc

It could be something much simpler than that. If tracking / toe-in are correct, the steering wheel can be mounted wrong, and yes I know even a small difference will make you mad. I corrected this on the wife's Seat Toledo by removing the steering wheel and replacing it in the correct position. Slightly more complicated with an airbag-equipped steering wheel. And this took several iterations to be perfect. But really check the toe-in first, if it's off, the tyre wear will be noticeable...

Lots of tyre places don't set the tracking relative to the wheel, so definately check that first!

I always tell them to put steering wheel straight when doing tracking, 1/3 of times they still miss that. Not that I have to make adjustments every day, but when I buy a car I usually do that as once I had car that drove fine, after 700km almost new tires did wore off because of angles were messed up.
