480 seats in a 300?

Been to my local scrapyard today and they have a 480GT with half leather seats, the fronts look fairly supportive compared to the original 300's ones, and reasonable condition.
The drivers side lumbar is a little worn, but they are tidy enough to put in my car if they will fit. So my question is do they fit and has anyone fitted them?
I guess i may need to weld some sort of subframe, just wondered on the off chance if they were a straight swap?
If i don't get these has anyone else got a mint set i could purchase? Is the 480GT a limited edition aswell?
Cheers

I had been thinking about doing exactly that. I've not even offered them up but there is a slim chance they could bolt directly in
Most likely a bit of bracketing and they will fit. The GT's are not common but half leather interior is not to hard to find - some had full leather.

The GTs half leather isnt common, some 400 boys would tear your arms off for it

They are the ones, well obviously not those ones as according to the brochure each had it's own individual geometric shapes printed on
Well i'll make the trip back down at the weekend then as they did feel comfy even if a little gruby but i'm sure i can clean them up.
The back seat looks pretty awesome too, being just 2 buckety types in mint half leather.
On a side note, the 480GT priced at "just" £16,245, thats hella expensive for a 1994 car isn't it

Right ho, just though i'd let people know, 480 seats into a 300 is NOT a straight swap.
I went with a mate on friday afternoon to get the leathers out of the 480Gt and tried fitting them today, and alas they don't bolt straight in.
However i'm already on the case with some steel bar and i'm going to set about making up some brackets tomo/today to fit them, however a few issues have already been made clear, that being if they are in their forward position you can't shut the door as the adjuster knob on the side hits the door pocket
On a side note the rear seats are awesome as they are 2 individual bucket style seats with a center console between them, but i think it would be beyond me to fit them even if it would look amazing so i left them in place.
Anyway i'll get some pics up and hopefully have them fitted so i'll keep you posted.

The 480 GT was a limited edition only 250 produced for UK market and each had an individual pattern on the leather.
Glad I found this thread as was thinking of putting my spare 480 leather seats into the 340. The 480 seats are so much better. This will save me an hour messing around to see if it fits or not.

Well i had mine in for a weekend and decided against them in the end. They just seem to sit too high, even more bus driver stylee than the stock 300 ones so i swapped back to my originals.
The way i fitted them would have been no more than 1/4" higher than the standard runners and they just didn't fit well in my opinion.

ah, didn't see this topic. Been there, done that. Full leather interior of a 440 (frontseats are like 480 without folding mechanism)
Didn't work out. Only way this COULD work out, is to grind the hightened floorpart down, and fit them directly to the floor.
Edit: Rear seat was the same story. Didn't work out, unless your really small!
