Redline 340 parts

Post by srg86 »

From that guy on ebay that is breaking a Redline, there are a couple of parts that I'd like to look at.

1. Are the wing mirrors electric or manual (I need manual) on a redline or was it an option (some may some maynot). Also are they the same as on my mk2 1985 model.

2. Also the resistors that control the heater fan blower motor, did they change from 1985 to 1989.

thanks

Sure they'll be manual, the car doesn't even have electric windows (i wanted a motor!)

Redline's were surprisingly basic, no electric mirrors or windows from what I understand. I'm not sure about the fit onto a Mk2? It's only the very early ones that were door mounted with no internal adjustment as I remember.

mirrors will fit fine

resistors might have changed with the dash, but i think you've got a new-style anyway, so your onto a winner

The resistors were'nt actually in the dash, their next to the motor

Maybe I've got mk2 slightly wrong, well anyway it's 1985.

85 is probably mk2 - indicators in the front panel and stripey rear lights?

there were a few additions see, early mark2s had different wing mirrors and front windows and dashboards
